VEKTOR UNLEASH NEW TRACK 'PTEROPTICON' ON METAL HAMMER

"Epic headbanging soundtracks for lost astronauts" - Rolling Stone
"We haven't seen extreme thrash this vital in decades" - Stereogum
"The best album of the last 5 years... 10/10" - Deaf Forever
"Vektor are the sickest band in modern thrash" - The Needledrop
"Awesome technical space-concept metal" - Dr. Matt Taylor (European Space Agency Rosetta Mission Project Scientist)

Highly complex progressive sci-fi-themed metallers VEKTOR have teamed up with the UK's Metal Hammer for the debut of a brand new track, "Pteropticon".

Taken from their eagerly-anticipated new album 'Terminal Redux', which is due to be released this Friday, May 6th, "Pteropticon" roars into life before swooping in to knock listeners off their feet with its ferocious riffing and screeching solos.

VEKTOR frontman David DiSanto comments:

"Deep in space and far in the future, an elite squadron of Reapers, dubbed 'Pteropticon', descends upon an unsuspecting, alien world.  The prefix, Pter, means wing.  An Opticon is the inner part of the optic lobes in an insect brain.  Put them together and you get an all-seeing force that patrols worlds from the sky.  This track is a full-force, thrash attack from start to finish.  We really hope you like it!  A million thanks to Metal Hammer for debuting this track and staying true to all types of metal.  'Pteropticon' is just a part of the puzzle of our new album, 'Terminal Redux', which comes out May 6th.  Support, enjoy, cheers!"
